Once again I find myself talking about the hottest social networking site on the planet today -Twitter.
Twitter.com is defined as:
"A community of friends and strangers from around the world sending updates about moments in their lives.
Friends near or far can use Twitter to remain somewhat close while far away.
Curious people can make friends.
Bloggers can use it as a mini-blogging tool.
Developers can use the API to make Twitter tools of their own.
Possibilities are endless!"
Certainly these statements represent what Twitter's basic use is, however, since its' official public debut in 2006, Twitter has taken on a life of its' own.
for instance, local, State and Federal Government agencies are using Twitter for internal and community communication. Businesses especially have found Twitter as THE place to be for business networking, branding and building niche authority.
So it is appropriate on November 1st, 2008, to have an opportunity to talk to a person I connected with on Twitter and whom I admire for his generosity and clear thinking approach to using social media for maximum business building - Warner Carter.
Today's show dealt with how to build lasting relationships on Twitter and how even a seasoned user can increase the quality followers he or she has using strategies in Warner's new book entitled "Twitter Traffic Strategies"
In fact, Warner, who has been a self-employed internet marketer for the past 9 year, shared some of the secrets in his e-book for easy link building today!
One technique Warner discussed, addressed spying on the Twitter community to determine emerging niche patterns or to check on your popularity using the Tweet Beep service.
Warner's blog, "The Original Adventures In Internet Marketing Blog" offers helpful tips for expanding your internet marketing horizons and new Twitter incites he comes up with. He invites anyone needing help using social networking sites to contact him here too.
