The One Thing You Must Do To Succeed Online

October 30, 2008

If there was only one thing you had to know in order to profit from your online business, would you do it?

It's fair to say that we all would, right?

But what if it's something others like copywriters, website designers, even gurus were saying you shouldn't do, would you feel the same way?

That is the battle ongoing in the internet marketing community right now.

Depending upon who you talk to, some espouse the idea of only giving away free stuff in order to build your list, while others say give away one thing (like an e-book or video) then cycle your prospects into your sales funnel for maximum ROI.

Some in the internet market arena say it's wrong to sell people something, while others say, "sell as hard and as fast as you can!"

Who is right?

Selling stuff is the core of any business, whether yours is online of offline.

If there is one thing I must share with you, it is this:

"If you don't want to SELL things to your prospects then your business is doomed!"

Do you doubt this point?

Note this:

McDonald's has thrived for years on one little thing called the "bump or "upsell". Next time you go to get your salad or Big Mac (as one of millions of people around the world do every day), when the person asks, "Do you want to go large for 89 cents?", know that you were just SOLD on building McD's profits by nearly $1,000,000 dollars, just because of that "little" sales pitch you accepted.

So, as a reader of this blog post, if ever you want my services to assist your business, then you must understand that while I am doing what I love to do by helping businesses improve their marketing efforts online and offline, I still have to pay bills, eat, occassionally take my wife to a movie and maybe buy a product or two that I like.

Nothing comes free does it?

It takes money, not necessarily lots of it, but it means I will have to SELL things from time to time to care for my family and business needs.

Okay? Are you with me on this point?

Selling is part of what we all MUST do to grow our businesses and survive in these challenging economic times.

Recently, a colleague of mine, Matt Bacak, was confronted with this very issue.

You see, he created a massive giveaway of some of his best stuff (powerpoint presentations, cheat sheets, insider link strategies and such), stuff that previously you had to put down $5,000 to get, for $1.00.

The package was so big, it took me several days to go through it. And you better believe I took advantage of the opportunity and paid my $1.00!

Matt is called the "Powerful Promoter" because he has built up in a few short years a multi-million dollar marketing and coaching business and has worked with many of the biggest names in the online world and continues to come up with innovative strategies that benefit his clients and friends.

The promo for the package he sold for $1.00 was called "Matt Bacak Retires"

Why?

Matt had two reasons for doing what he did: 1) He wanted to donate as much money as possible to Habitat For Humanity and 2) He wanted to spend more time with his family (his wife recently gave birth to their newest child).

So, Matt got beat up by a number of online marketers who probably felt he shouldn't have SOLD the package at all!

Perhaps they thought, "With all your money Matt, why didn't you just give it away?" or even "Why didn't you offer a coupon price for the whole thing and charge $397 for the entire package?"

To finally answer all these naysayers and to once again provide ultimate value to you and I, Matt has put together a special report entitled : "The Dark Side Of Internet Marketing"

Here is the link for the free report: http://Viralurl.com/TonysChoice/DarkSide

I recommend you read this report immediately to avoid the heartache of being told you "can't" do something. The report gives you reasons why being an online marketer is the right move for you.

Learn from Matt and move forward in your business.

Remember: SELLING is the core of your business, no matter what it is you do.

When you have money from your sales efforts, you can then enjoy the life you want and be able to giveaway some of it to others as Matt did when he presented Habitat For Humanity with a check for $30,124.74!

I'm proud to say my money was in there too...

So, be encouraged, making money by selling is okay, it allows you to help your family and others.

I give Matt's report my highest recommendation, check it out today. http://Viralurl.com/TonysChoice/DarkSide

I'm not certain how long he'll have the report up, so I would suggest you look it over now.

Anthony
